Meet Karen Saunders

Karen was born and raised in Greensboro, N.C. where she met her husband, Matt, of 22 years. She worked as a Surgical Assistant for Dr. Karl Stonecipher until the first of their 2 children were born. She became a stay at home mom for a few years until being fortunate enough to work from home which allowed her to attend her girls’ school functions and sporting events.

A love of the ocean inspired their move to the Southport / Oak Island area where Karen’s family had always enjoyed a vacation home. Karen took a job running a prominent boutique in Southport where she had the opportunity to meet lots of new and wonderful people. This initiated the idea to pursue a career in real estate where she would be able to help people find their dream home.

Her husband Matt is a Captain with New Hanover County Fire and Rescue with 25 years in the fire service. Their oldest daughter, Jordan, is a sophomore at UNCW as a Biology / Forensic Science major. Their youngest, Sydnee, will be attending The College at Southeastern in the fall majoring in Christian Counseling and Women’s Ministry.
