Meet Katherine Wooten

North Carolina is in Katherine Wooten's blood. She was born and raised in Bath, NC which is the oldest incorporated town in our state. Her family farmed tobacco, so she spent summers topping and suckering the fields, and later waiting on tables at seafood restaurants in Beaufort,NC to help pay for college. Katherine attended and graduated from East Carolina University with a degree in Early Childhood and a Specialist Degree in Reading for Gifted Children. She retired from teaching, and continues to have so much affection for the children and families of Brunswick County in her heart.

In 2006 Katherine became a Realtor and started selling real estate on Oak Island, and eventually found her way home to Southport Realty in 2010. She is very passionate about helping people buy or sell property and her goal is to listen and understand the thoughts and needs of all of her clients . Katherine is in this with you for the Long Haul and she doesn't give up ! Her response time is quick and she answers texts, emails or calls ASAP ! Brunswick County has become her home after living here over 30 years and it is such a wonderful place ! There is the Oyster Festival in Ocean Isle, the Day at the Docks on Holden Beach and the the Fourth of July Festival in Southport. Many of the communities have a summer concert series, community theater opportunities, coffee shops, great restaurants, and Christmas Flotillas!!

Katherine is currently serving on the 2025 Communications Committee for NC REALTORS® , she is a member of the 2025 Cape Fear Heart Ball Committee supporting the American Heart Association. She supports the Southport Friends of the Library and the Power Walking Ministries that donates shoes to our public school children.
