About Katherine
North Carolina is in my blood. I was born and raised in Bath, NC which is the oldest incorporated town in our state. My family farmed tobacco, so I spent summers topping and suckering the fields before attending and graduating from East Carolina University with a degree in Early Childhood and a specialist degree in Reading for Gifted Children.
Retired from teaching, there is so much affection for the children and families of Brunswick County in my heart. In 2006 I became a Realtor and starting selling real estate at Century 21 on Oak Island. I am very passionate about helping people buy or sell property. My goal is to listen and understand what your thoughts and needs are. I am in this with you for the Long Haul and I don't give up. My response time is quick and I answer texts, emails or calls asap.
Brunswick County is such a wonderful place to live, there is the Oyster Festival in Ocean Isle, the Day at the Docks on Holden Beach and the the Fourth of July Festival in Southport. Many of the communities have a summer concert series, community theater opportunities, coffee shops, great restaurants, and Christmas Flotillas!! The people here are warm and inviting, there is so much to do and sometimes I tell clients that we are living in "Mayberry"......and that is a great place to be!
My husband and I have lived in Brunswick County for 27 years. We have a deep love of rescue dogs, our little dog Dixie was the runt of her litter and had some defective issues that we had to work out. We think that all 9lbs of her are perfect! My whole life has been spent in the rivers, inlets and waters of the Atlantic Ocean and there is nothing that compares to the salty smell of that water when you start crossing the bridges into the coastal plains. From Calabash to Corolla.....Call me when you are considering buying or selling property.
