My husband and I have been visiting Oak Island for years and fell in love! We knew we wanted to purchase a home on the island but weren’t sure if it was the right time. We met Shea at an open house she was hosting that we decided to just pop into. I had no idea she would become one of my most treasured friends. Shea welcomed us and was happy to show us around. After talking to her about our hopes for the future she offered her help when we were ready and gave us a card. She was not pushy, but sincere. We began our search, from 5 hours away. She sent us listings, did research, and even video walk throughs when we saw something we liked but weren’t able to come down. Labor Day weekend 2023 we visited and spent an entire day with Shea touring homes. She was patient and informative. Sadly we did not find our fit. And she stuck with us every step of the way. Now our home is a popular vacation rental on the island and Shea continues to be there for us ensuring that we have peace of mind living 5 hours away. When Kim listed our home to sell, she was meticulous in capturing our home in favorable pictures to feature on the listing, and very knowledgeable about how to market our home to the right group of buyers. Upon retirement, my wife and I were toying with the idea of moving south and although I know many realtors in our community my first call was to Kim. She got right to work helping through the necessary steps to list/sell our house. In the end we decided to stay put but here’s the story I need to share: my sister, who lived in Texas, was looking to relocate back to WV with her family when the home across the street from us suddenly went on the market.
